2. Personal information collected

We collect certain personal information in order to provide our services, for example:

• Your photo: visible to the childcare center to help validate your identity.
• Your first and last name: visible to the childcare center to help validate your identity.
• Phone number: allows HopHop staff to verify your identity.
• Email: identifier linked to your account.
• Your children’s first and last names: visible to the childcare center to perform roll call.
• Your children’s photo (optional, depending on the center): visible to the childcare center to perform roll call.

When using our application, your estimated arrival time at the childcare center is collected and stored. This information allows the center to notify your child a few minutes before your arrival so they can prepare to leave. This arrival time can be entered manually in the app or by using GPS data from your mobile phone. If you choose to use GPS to calculate your arrival time, this data is collected and stored. You must, however, voluntarily activate this function in the app and in your phone’s settings.

This information is collected solely for the purposes described in this policy.

3. Purposes of collection

The personal information collected is used for the following purposes:

• Create and manage your user account
• Ensure the delivery of the HopHop service and its features
• Improve the user experience and security of the service
• Comply with our legal and contractual obligations

4. Consent

Your consent is clear, free, and informed. It is requested separately for each purpose of processing.

• You may withdraw your consent at any time, without retroactive effect.
• The use of tracking technologies (cookies, GPS, advertising identifiers) requires your consent.

5. Profiling and location technologies

• GPS: location is activated only if you authorize it.
• Cookies and analytics tools: to understand how the platform is used.

You may manage your preferences and disable these technologies in your settings or browser.

6. Your rights

In accordance with Quebec Law 25, you have the following rights:

• Access: obtain confirmation that we hold your information and receive a copy.
• Rectification: correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Withdrawal of consent: end the use of your information for one or more purposes.
• Portability: receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format.
• Erasure and de-indexing: request the deletion of your information where permitted by law.

Bleu-K Inc. will respond within 30 days.

7. Retention and destruction

We retain your information only as long as necessary for the intended purposes, after which it is securely destroyed or anonymized.

8. Minors

In accordance with the law, if you are under 14 years of age, your parent or guardian must consent to the collection of your personal information. Our service is not intended for children under 14. If information is collected inadvertently, it will be promptly deleted.

9. Security

We implement security measures proportional to the sensitivity of the information, including:

• Data encryption
• Firewalls and monitoring
• Restricted access to authorized staff
• Secure data destruction

In accordance with Law 25, Bleu-K Inc. conducts privacy impact assessments (PIAs) before implementing any project involving the collection, use, disclosure, or retention of personal information that may pose a risk to privacy, including when adopting new technologies, disclosing sensitive data, or transferring information outside Quebec.

10. Privacy incidents

In the event of an incident posing a risk of serious harm (e.g., loss, unauthorized access, disclosure), we will:

• Notify the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (CAI)
• Notify any affected individual
• Maintain an incident log in compliance with the law

11. Data in Canada

Your information is hosted in Canada (AWS in Montreal). If a transfer outside Quebec or Canada is required, we will take the necessary steps to ensure adequate protection, including by entering into contractual agreements that comply with Law 25.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect legislative or operational changes.
